NFL Betting: Five Most Important Week 10 Games

Week 10 of the NFL season is upon us and it kicks off on Thursday with a surprisingly important divisional battle. Well, it’s important to one of the two sides as the other is merely looking to avoid setting dubious records.

Cleveland Browns @ Baltimore Ravens
Odds: Ravens -10

The Browns fell to 0-9 with a 35-10 home loss to Dallas and are now one loss shy of a franchise record 0-10 start. They’ll try to avoid reaching that mark against the Ravens, who are now atop the AFC North at 4-4 thanks to an impressive 21-14 home win over Pittsburgh. The Ravens are 8-2 in their last 10 SU against Cleveland, who have split the last ten ATS.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Carolina Panthers
Odds: Panthers -3

The Chiefs improved to 6-2 with a 19-14 win over Indianapolis at home to extend their winning streak to four games. Nick Foles led the way, even though he only threw for 187 yards and one touchdown. He might be under center again as starting quarterback Alex Smith and starting running back Spencer Ware are both going to be a question mark this week

The Panthers are now 3-5 after a 13-10 win at Los Angeles. They’ve won two straight to make their move but they still have issues as Cam Newton was sacked five times in the win. Their chances of winning would increase if both Smith and Ware missed the contest.

The Chiefs are 3-2 SU and 2-3 ATS in their last five against the Panthers, and this is their first meeting in four years.

Dallas Cowboys @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Odds: Steelers -2.5

The Cowboys are 7-1 after their win in Cleveland in which Dak Prescott threw for 247 yards and three touchdowns. Meanwhile, Ezekiel Elliott ran for 92 yards and two scores. They’ve played so well that they are now second in line to win the Super Bowl at +800 (only behind the New England Patriots).

The Steelers got Ben Roethlisberger back from his knee injury, but he completed just 23 of his 45 attempts in their loss in Baltimore. The Steelers have now lost three straight and are sitting at 4-4. The good news is they’re 3-1 at home this season and undefeated in home games where Big Ben starts. They’ve averaged 28.5 points per game at home compared to 17.5 per game on the road.

The Cowboys are 6-4 SU in their last ten meetings with the Steelers, who are 3-5-1 ATS in those games.

Seattle Seahawks @ New England Patriots
Odds: Patriots -7

The Seahawks are 4-2-1 and sitting atop the NFC West as they prepare for their Monday Night matchup with Buffalo, and the Patriots are 7-1 coming off their bye week. Even though the Seahawks’ record isn’t great, they’re still one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl thanks to their defense, but they’ll have their hands full against Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski and the New England offense. Road games have been a challenge for Seattle this season as they’re averaging just 14.0 points per game away from home.

The Seahawks are 6-4 SU and ATS against the Patriots, who won the last one in their biggest matchup, a 28-24 victory at Super Bowl XLIX in 2015.

Cincinnati Bengals @ New York Giants
Odds: Giants -2.5

The Bengals are coming off their bye and at 3-4-1 are just a half-game behind the Ravens and Steelers for first place in the AFC North. But the Bengals, who have made the playoffs in five straight seasons, haven’t looked elite this season. They have yet to earn a win against a team who is above .500. They’ll be on the road facing a New York Giants squad that has won three straight games. Very quietly, the Giants defense has been one of the underrated units in the NFL this season as they’re 10th in points per game (21.5) and 10th in rushing yards allowed per game (93.9).

The Bengals are 4-3 SU and 5-2 ATS in their seven meetings with the Giants, who are trying to keep pace with Dallas going into this Monday Nighter.
