Start Playing at Ignition Poker

Brand new to the online gambling industry, Ignition Casino has been skyrocketing to the top, especially since they launched their poker market earlier this year. Ignition Poker offers a fully-loaded mobile-friendly poker room to US citizens, along with plenty of promotions and bonuses to keep bettors happy. Licensed in Canada, Ignition doesn’t run into any legal issues with the United States government – making it totally legal for US citizens to play.

Signing Up

Ignition Poker is extremely user-friendly – their website is clean and easy to navigate, and available in English, Spanish and Mandarin. Signing up is a piece of cake; if you are already an Ignition Casino member, you log in using your credentials from that account, and you’re ready to go. If you’re new to Ignition altogether, you will need to enter some personal information and create an account. Once you verify your identity, you’re ready to make your first deposit.

Deposit Options

Ignition doesn’t have many deposit options, but they have popular, easily accessible options for many people in the United States. Visa, MasterCard, AMEX and Bitcoin are all very common for American citizens, and prepaid credit cards are at every corner gas station in the country. They also offer the less common Rapid Transfer for those who don’t have access to the above options. When making a deposit, there are fairly reasonable limits for each deposit option. For credit cards, you must make a minimum deposit of $20 and they’ll accept all deposits up to $1,000. For Bitcoin deposits, you must make a minimum deposit of $20, and a maximum of $5,000. Effective October 1st, 2016, Ignition began charging deposit fees for credit card deposits:

  • VISA: 5.9%.
  • MasterCard: 7.9%
  • AMEX: 9.9%
  • Bitcoin: 100% free deposits and withdrawals
  • Rapid Transfer: $12 flat fee

Welcome Bonus

Once you’ve made your initial deposit, you qualify for one of their welcome bonuses. The first bonus is a 100% match bonus of up to $1,000. This bonus is great value if you’re planning to place plenty of big bets, as it has a 25x rollover requirement. The second bonus is a 100% match bonus up to $100 for Poker players. Once you make your deposit and download the Poker software, you will automatically be credited with the bonus, along with your Ignition Poker Points.

Bad Beat Bonus

If you find yourself demotivated after a bad beat, Ignition Poker will help you out and offer a bonus to help you shake it off. Bad beats are a rough way to lose, so Ignition will offer 100x the big blind and you could win up to $1,000 for their Bad Beat Bonus. There are a few rules pertaining to this bonus:

  • Both pocket cards must be used.
  • Three or more players must be dealt into the hand.
  • Your hand must go to showdown.
  • All hands must be played independently. If you reveal your hand or instruct others on how to act, you won’t be eligible.
  • You must be playing Texas Hold’em cash games. Tournaments not included.

Royal Flush Bonus

When you hit a Royal Flush on a Texas Hold’em cash game, Ignition offers a bonus payout of 50x the game’s big blind – up to $200. Your Royal Flush must win the pot, doesn’t have to go to showdown, and there must be more than three people dealt into the hand.

Poker Points

For cash games, Poker Points are earned based on how much you contribute to a raked pot. It varies for each game, but it roughly ends up being one point for each one to three dollars wagered. For each dollar spent on tournament entry fees, you will receive three Poker Points which can convert into some great prizes including Poker tournament entries.

Poker Tournaments

There are plenty of weekly tournaments available at Ignition Poker, including their $100K Weekly Tournament which occurs every Sunday at 4pm ET. They guarantee $100K in payouts, including a $20K first place prize. There are several additional tournaments with much cheaper buy-ins, such as the Cheap Seats tables with $1 buy-ins, which occur daily at 12:40pm, 3:40pm, and 7:40pm.

Other popular online poker tournaments available at Ignition Poker include: Sit and Go tournaments, which feature Texas Hold’em and Omaha Hold’em, can include two to 45 players, and various buy in levels from $1.10 to $215. There are several Sit and Go types as well, including Deep Stack, Satellite, Double Up, to name a few. Another poker tournament option is a Turbo Tournament, which is fast-paced and has increasing blinds every two to six minutes to ramp up the action. If you want to speed it up even more, there are Hyper Turbo and Super Turbo tournaments where the blinds increase even faster than the regular Turbos.

You can play all of these tournaments on their downloadable software, which is available for Windows and iOS desktop and laptop computers. The software downloads within minutes, then all you need to do is sign in with your existing username and password and you are ready to play.

Ignition has plenty of great features that bettors can really benefit from. Their Zone Poker action allows you to cut the time spent waiting for your folded hands to end and makes the process more instant. When you fold from a Zone Table, you’re automatically directed to a new table with new cards. This really speeds up the process and allows for a more convenient way to play poker.

If you’re looking for total anonymity when you hit up a poker table, the Ignition Anonymous tables are perfect for you. With this feature, Ignition players are totally incognito, which means that when seated at a table, opponents will be in the dark about who you are and how you play. This really evens out the playing field at the start of every new game— just like in a live casino environment.

If you’re looking to customize your poker experience, Ignition offers a selection of card designs that you can choose from. That’s not all – you can also add a card animation that will change the way that your cards are dealt. You can choose from electrified cards, flames, and much more. They also allow you to customize the look and feel of your poker table to create the perfect playing environment. There’s a great selection of table skins with different themes, including sports stadiums, racetracks, and a variety of colors. You can select a style that appeals to you – just simply head to the settings section and pick your design.

Check out your past hands as they develop and relive all the action, which you can do easily with the Hand History Viewer. With fast-forward and rewind buttons, you’ll have complete control over your viewing experience. This is a very useful tool if you want to up your game and analyze your playing style. The viewer is available for Cash Games, STT’s and MTT’s. Activate the hand history viewer directly from the table you’re playing at or from the hand history details page.

If you have an opponent that you find challenging or love playing against, you can activate the Instant Heads-Up Rematch feature. With this feature, you and your rival can return to the same table over and over to keep the competition going. As soon as a Heads-Up match is over, you’ll be given the option to rematch your opponent, which will start a new Heads-Up game.

House Rules

There are a number of rules that Ignition plays by – but you won’t see a big difference from any other online poker room. Their rules are fairly standard:

  • Ignition will not tolerate any collusion. Includes soft-playing, whipsawing and chip dumping.
  • If a player doesn’t act within the allotted timeframe for any reason, their game will time out, their hand will fold and their action placed on ‘Auto Fold’ until they get back to the game.
  • If a player remains idle for more than 10 minutes while playing cash games, they will be removed from the table.
  • It is prohibited to intentionally slow down play at any of our poker tables.
  • Cash can be used to re-buy or add chips while playing in re-buy tournaments only if the funds are available in a player’s account prior to registration and only if they are accessible during the tournament.
  • Ignition Casino reserves the right to start, stop, pause or resume any game at any time.
  • If a player leaves a cash game, they cannot return to it within five minutes if they have less chips than they originally took away from the table. This is known as ‘ratholing’.

They also have strict rules regarding their game chat rooms that are fairly straight forward and in line with other online poker rooms. Unacceptable behavior includes:

  • Abusive, sexist, racist and otherwise disruptive language
  • Divulging the cards a player is holding or has folded while their hand is in play
  • Coaching other players, whether they’re playing or just watching
  • Claiming they are an Ignition representative
  • Spamming other users
