Hustler Casino Set To Host $150,000 Guaranteed Memorial Day Weekend Event

The Hustler Casino in Gardena, California is set to host an exciting $150K guaranteed poker tournament this Memorial Day weekend. The event, which requires a $150 buy-in with a $100 add-on event, will run from May 22nd through the 26th with six starting flights. There will be two starting flights per day beginning at noon and 5 p.m. local time on each of the first two days of the tournament.

How it will work is each player will be given 15,000 in starting chips for their $150 buy-in with an additional 15,000 chips for the $100 add-on. The $150K guaranteed event will feature a button-ante format with the player on the button posting a single ante once per round. The blinds will begin at 100-200, with the button ante of 200 introduced for Level Two once they get to that point. The different levels will last for 30 minutes of play through most of the event. However, when they get to the fifth and sixth levels of the tournament, the clock will be extended to 60 minutes in length. With an affordable buy-in and so much money on the line, it will be worth it for poker players across North America to check out the $150K guaranteed event on Memorial Day weekend.

Florida Poker Pro Wins Over $62K With Win In 329-Entry Field

Dylan Drazen, a professional poker player from Florida, has won the 2019 Card Player Poker Tour bestbet Jacksonville $1.1K buy-in no-limit hold’em main event. Drazan survived a field of 329 total entries to take home the $62,613 in prize money. The victory was the second-largest score of the 43-year-old Drazen’s career. It also pushed his lifetime live earnings to more than $770K.

A good portion of Drazen’s prior tournament earnings had come from his runner-up finish in the 2017 Seminole Hard Rock Player Open Championship event.

Juanda Wins High-Stakes Poker Tournament After Getting Bluffed Off Quads

John Juanda may have lost the battle but he won the war. He turned a number of heads when he took home $613,600 for winning the Triton Poker Super Montenegro after epically losing a hand where he folded quads at the final table.

The 47-year-old was in excellent position to win the hand holding quad sixes with a pair of 6’s and a board that included Ace, Ace, Ace, Six, Six. However, Juanda knew that he was also gambling and potentially in position to lose to a higher four-of-a-kind hand if his opponent held an Ace in his hand. Ultimately, Juanda ended up folding his hand and allowing his opponent Sergey Lebedev to take the pot despite the fact that Lebedev was playing the board with a King and a Jack.

Not to worry, though, as he still won the war, overcoming that mistake to win the tournament. Juanda has now extended his career live tournament earnings total to just over $24.7 million. While Juanda was the big prize winner with more than $613K, it’s worth mentioning that the top-six players in the event each took home six-figure prizes.
