It has been a busy week in the world of poker, and if you like to watch the card game expect to see it more than ever thanks to an extension between the World Poker Tour and Fox Sports. Here's a recap of three big poker stories from the past week.
Fox Sports Extends WPT for Five Years
Rumors of an NFL franchise moving to Las Vegas have long been swirling. With the NHL announcing that they would expand to Sin City, it has churned the rumor mill even more that Las Vegas will eventually receive an NFL team. The Oakland Raiders have been the team that's been linked to a move and it is looking more and more likely to happen as now the discussion has commenced about how to fund the stadium.
The National Football League moves into Week 7 on Thursday as the action begins with the oldest rivalry in the league and ends with a meeting between AFC contenders, although one team limps into that matchup.

Much has been made over the last year or so about the decline in visitors to Macau but a recent boost in visitors should provide a reprieve. Macau, known as one of the gambling capitals of the world, saw some good numbers during Golden Week, the semi-annual Chinese national holiday.

Set in Monaco - on the French Riviera - it's a lavish place that welcomes the wealthy and isn't always attainable to the common man. That seems to be the theme of an upcoming poker tournament, which will have one of the biggest buy-ins in the history of the game.
The AFC West is the place to be for Week 6 of the NFL season as all four teams will be playing each other. The Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders have been a cut above in the division, but we'll see if the San Diego Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs can pull them back to the pack with upset wins this week.

The Latin American Poker Tour made its stop in Uruguay this past week, the fourth event of the year, and all of the action came to a head at the main event. Argentina's Pedro Claus survived a challenging field of competition in Punta del Estes to earn the win, becoming the fourth different player to win an LAPT event this year.
