NFL Betting: Five Most Important Week 12 Games

Week 12 of the NFL season kicks off with three games on Thanksgiving Thursday, including a couple of important NFC showdowns. As per usual, the Dallas Cowboys will be the stars of the show on Thanksgiving as the red-hot Washington Redskins try to spoil their party.

Washington Redskins @ Dallas Cowboys
Odds: Cowboys -7

After their 27-17 home win over Baltimore, the 9-1 Cowboys are a touchdown favorite on Thanksgiving Thursday. Dak Prescott threw for 301 yards and three touchdowns as Dallas extended their winning streak to nine games. The only time they’ve won by less than five points during that streak was against the Redskins (27-23) in Week 2.

The Redskins are 6-3-1 after a 42-24 blowout at home over Green Bay. Kirk Cousins threw for 375 yards and three scores, but the story might be the Redskins running game and defense, which appear to finally be respectable. The Redskins are averaging 127.2 rushing yards per game over their last four contests. The Cowboys are 6-4 SU and 4-6 ATS in their last 10 against the Redskins, including that win in Week 2 in Washington.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Baltimore Ravens
Odds: Ravens -4.5

The Bengals are 3-6-1 after a 16-12 home loss to Buffalo, which may have snuffed their playoff hopes. Not only did they lose the game, they also lost star wide receiver A.J. Green to a torn hamstring and running back Gio Bernard to a torn ACL.

The Ravens are 5-5 and are still atop the AFC North even after their loss in Dallas. They were hurt by 12 penalties, but overall didn’t look like they belonged on the same field even though it was a first-place showdown.

The Bengals are 6-4 SU (five straight wins) and 5-4-1 ATS in their last 10 with the Ravens, who covered in their last meeting.

Seattle Seahawks @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Odds: Seahawks -5

After a 26-15 home win over Philadelphia, the Seahawks are 7-2-1 and in control in the NFC West. Russell Wilson not only threw a touchdown pass, but he caught one as well. The Seahawks enter with momentum as they’ve won three straight and are 6-1-1 in their last eight.

The Buccaneers are 5-5 and while they’ve been written off by most people, they are only one game behind Atlanta in the NFC South. They rarely win at home, though, as they are just 1-4 in front of their own audience this season.

The Seahawks 6-4 SU and 5-5 ATS in their last 10 against the Buccaneers, who have covered in the last three meetings.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos
Odds: Broncos -3

Both teams are 7-3 but come into this matchup with different moods. The Chiefs suffered a surprising loss last Sunday, falling at home to the Buccaneers. Quarterback Alex Smith threw for one touchdown and ran for another, but the Chiefs offense looked sluggish overall.

As for the Broncos, they are coming off a bye. With the Oakland Raiders beating Houston in Mexico City on Monday night, this Sunday night showdown is for second place in the AFC West.

The Broncos are 8-2 SU and 6-4 ATS in their last 10 against the Chiefs, who won and covered last season in Denver.

Green Bay Packers @ Philadelphia Eagles
Odds: Eagles -3

The Packers are 4-6 after falling in Washington, which now makes it four losses in a row. Green Bay should officially be in panic mode now as they’re two games behind Detroit and Minnesota in the AFC North (those two sides play each other on Thursday). Their defense has collapsed as they’ve allowed at least 31 points in four straight games while allowing 40+ in each of the last two weeks.

The Eagles are 5-5 and at the bottom of the NFC East after losing to Seattle, and they need a win to keep up as well. They’ve dropped five of seven and their 3-0 start seems like a distant memory.

The Eagles are 6-4 SU and 5-5 ATS in their last 10 against the Packers, who have won and covered in four of the last five meetings.
