Gambling regulators in the United Kingdom have announced some tighter restrictions in regard to online gaming websites in the country. That’s where we’ll start our roundup of the casino news headlines of the week.

U.K. Cracking Down On Underage Gambling

A new initiative by gambling bodies in the United Kingdom has focused on cracking down on online games that target underage players. Regulators of gambling in the United Kingdom have gone after more than 450 online sites that they say are targeting children. These casino games have cartoon-like graphics and characters that kids would be drawn to and the issue is that many of these games can be played for free (to start). That can create an early relationship that businesses might like but regulators view as predatory.

Regulators are doing their best to close these loopholes and a lot of companies have denied the accusation, but others have welcomed the change. William Hill has been for the move as they don’t want to be linked to any negative press. There are studies that say that more children in the United Kingdom are gambling at a young age than are smoking, drinking or taking drugs.

BetSoft Gaming To Partner With HDFBET

BetSoft Gaming, a company out of Malta, is going into business with HDFBET, which is an Asian online casino operator that provides services in China, Malaysia and Singapore. BetSoft’s whole catalogue of iGaming titles will now be available to those who use HDFBET. That includes the Slots3 collection; Slots3 is a 3D video slot game that is well known in the online gaming industry. BetSoft is trying to get in on the ground floor of an Asian market that is getting more and more business by the month. This is something that they hope can raise the company’s profile to another level. Meanwhile, it gives HDFBET a solid catalogue of games to offer their players in what is an important time for them to grow. Hopefully, it is a business deal that can work out for both sides as well as the players.

VideoSlots Teams With Leander Games

VideoSlots has had a run of good news recently. Building on the headlines that they’re going to have a 3D online poker service in early 2018, VideoSlots has now announced a deal with Leander Games to feature their catalogue of video slots as well. Leander Games hails from Argentina while VideoSlots works out of Malta and the United Kingdom. VideoSlots will add to a portfolio that has over 2,300 online casino games. Leander Games will bring 12 video slots games to the table, which will include Codex, Fruity 7s and Wild Jane, an extremely popular title among customers.

This deal is a partnership that both sides hope will work out for the best as VideoSlots is going for the top spot in the game and Leander Games is trying to expand their brand in the industry. This is only the beginning for this partnership as VideoSlots says that they’re starting with 12 games from Leander Games but they’re going to add more in the future.
